The NDI Anemometer KG 280A is a handy tool for those of you who go sailing, hang gliding, sailboarding, quadcopter flying etc.
I bought this digital anemometer wind speed meter for Testing Wind Speed and Temperature, when flying my DJI Mavic Mini in windy conditions.
It's an invaluable tool that could be the difference of having a flyaway due to high winds.
If you engage the RTH from the controller you might not have sufficient speed to return safely, as the controller sets the speed at (P) which might not have enough momentum to return home. (See the speed chart at the bottom)
Remember that the ground wind speed, is not the same the higher you go up.With gaining altitude, the wind speed increases approximately 2 kmh per 30 meters.
So Ground wind speed: 20 kph would be 26 kph at a height of 90 meters, which is marginal for using the RTH Button for a safe return to home.
