I believe that DJI made a mistake, when they decided to supply a standard Micro USB cable to charge the Mavic mini Controller.
The small rectangular port on the side of the controller is easily broken if you try to force a standard Micro USB in the the wrong way up, the image on the side of the controller is there to show you the correct way, but I doubt it will be used by all.
It's far easier to use a Reversible Micro USB Cable, and you will always have it oriented correctly.
